1) What can I expect in my first visit?
Every individual has unique dental needs, and it is highly important for us to
completely assess your current oral health. We perform an oral check up and look at
the muscles and joints that open and close the mouth. We will look at your teeth,
gums and the bone that hold the teeth in (the peridontium). If appropriate we will
take photos and x-rays of your dentures. All this will help us to get you the best
treatment for you and recommend the best course of action.

2) How can I have whiter teeth?
We provide three levels of teeth whitening; our best alternative is the same one used
in the popular television show "Extreme Makeover". This system offers you the best teeth
whitening with minimal (if any) side effects.
Another option for teeth whitening is porcelain veneers which are used for more difficult cases.
There are other ways to improve the appearance of your teeth. For more information on these
services and cosmetic denture repair, please contact us.

3) What kind of toothpaste is the best?
Toothpaste is important for what it supplies, fluoride and tartar control, but the
most important part of brushing your teeth is the technique used. Be careful of the whitening
brand because some are abrasive and remove enamel from teeth. Of all the different types,
find one you like and make sure it has the American Dental Association Seal of Acceptance.

4) What is better an electric or manual toothbrush?
Many people have done some testing about this fact, and most of them usually recommend electric
toothbrushes because of their design, ease of use, and availability. In the market there are
different models and most of them perform very well. If you have a question about a specific
model or brand, please ask us, we would be happy to assist you.

5)What do you offer for the nervous anxious patient?
We realize that even though dental care has gone along way in terms of patient comfort
there are still those with concerns and fears. Dental care should not be an unpleasant
experience so we provide a full array of options for those patients. We offer several
techniques to help you relax so please ask us what your options are.

6)Lately every time I brush my teeth, they bleed, what could be the problem?
Your teeth are not bleeding but the gums around them are. The earliest signs of gum
disease, Gingivitis, are puffy, irritated and bleeding gums. The disease can progress
to a point where the bone holding your teeth in your jaws will be destroyed and you can lose your teeth. If treated early at the gingivitis stage the disease can be arrested and you can see your gums get healthy again.

7)How can I avoid getting Cavities?
The best way to avoid cavities is by eating right, brushing with a fluoridated toothpaste,
flossing daily and visiting your dentist every six months. Children and some adults can
benefit by having Sealants placed.

8)Is laughing gas safe?

Laughing gas can make dentistry a relaxing experience for children and adults.

9)Is it normal for children to "grind" their teeth?
Some children have the habit of "grinding" their teeth, especially during sleep.
This is common among children, however, it is not to be considered in the same vein
as adult grinding. The baby teeth flatten and wear with the grinding because the tooth
enamel is thinner. If it persists after the permanent teeth have erupted the dentist
will then discuss the problem with the parent. If these various habits are diagnosed
and corrected early in transition between a child's primary and permanent dental
development, the chances of the child having straight teeth are greatly improved.

10)When is the best time to start orthodontic treatment?
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that all children have
an orthodontic consult by age seven. This does not mean all children will need
treatment at this age, but this determines who could benefit from early intervention
